The Parish Festival’s Sarah Ulloa

Yes, they’re hipsters, but try not to hold that against them. Hailing from Austin, Texas, The Parish Festival plays “a unique but all original blend of early jazz, country, and bluegrass with their own pop twists.”  Sarah Ulloa holds down the rhythm on the washboard while at the same time providing vocals. She plays a standard wavy-crimp board à l’américaine with thimbles, making liberal use of both the scrubbing surface and the soap holder.

Also relevant to my interests is the fact that the drummer, Kyle Gabe, is using nothing but a snare drum and brushes.
