The Red Wine Serenaders’ Veronica Sbergia

These guys are damned good. Max De Bernardi plays some lively ragtime on a resonator while Veronica Sbergia sings, kazoos and plays the washboard à l’américaine inversé, using hair brushes as scrapers. She’s very, very good. She puts together a nice, subtle rhythm full of effective little accents. She’s obviously given this some thought.

Her band–out of Italy, apparently–is called the Red Wine Serenaders. You can see some of their stuff here. They know what they’re doing. I’d love to see a show.
